Casato Prime Donne – Montalcino
Casato Prime Donne is Italy’s first winery entirely managed by women, a testament to Donatella’s commitment to inclusivity in the wine industry.The estate spans 40 hectares, with 16 hectares dedicated to Sangiovese vineyards. The winery produces renowned wines such as Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. The winemaking process emphasizes elegance and purity, with wines aged in large French oak barrels and concrete vats, avoiding the use of barriques. The estate also features unique elements like the "Tinaia del Vento" (Windy Fermentation Room), where indigenous yeasts are experimented with outdoors.
Fattoria del Colle – Trequanda
Fattoria del Colle, located in the Chianti and DOC Orcia regions, encompasses 336 hectares, with 17 hectares planted with vineyards. The estate is known for its commitment to sustainability and organic practices, receiving official organic certification in 2018. Grapes such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Traminer, and the ancient Foglia Tonda are cultivated here. The winery produces a range of wines, including Chianti Superiore DOCG, Vinsanto DOC Chianti, and extra virgin olive oil.Fattoria del Colle also serves as a wine destination, offering accommodations, a restaurant, a cookery school, and various experiences for visitors.
