Bodegas Franco-Españolas was founded in 1890 by Bordeaux-born Frederick Anglade Saurat, at a time when French vignerons sought new terroirs after phylloxera devastated their own vineyards. The name itself—“French-Spanish Winery”—honors the partnership of French and Spanish founders.

After 1920, the French partners sold their shares and the winery became fully Spanish. In 1984, the Eguizábal family acquired it, ushering in a new era of stewardship and modernization. Today, the winery balances heritage and innovation, rooted along the banks of the Ebro River in Logroño, and continually committed to sustainable practices.
We are proud to offer six of their wines, including two whites — among them the Bordón Viña Sole Blanco, awarded a Silver Medal and 90 points by Decanter — and the distinguished Royal Gran Reserva 2012, a red of exceptional maturity, finesse and value.
