The savoury, earthy nose is defined by aromas of damp soil, underbrush, herbs and sweet, dark berries crushed underfoot. The palate brings tart and sweet blackberries and dark chocolate, along with more cool earth and refreshing herbs, while powerful tannins and vibrant acid tie everything together.

BLEND: 100% Sangiovese carefully selected in the oldest vineyards and only of the best harvests.

VINIFICATION: Alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins (30-35 days) at a controlled temperature and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, both in truncated cone-shaped Slavonian oak vats.

AGING: In Slavonian oak barrels from 10 to 25 hl for about 36 to 40 months; it is then aged in the bottle for at least 15 months.

ON SALE FROM: January of the 6th year from the harvest.
